Shelly is an experienced medical insurance biller for a local company so the term ADHD is not new to her. She understands the disorder from numerous viewpoints. In addition to work she relates to ADHD as a spouse, a sister and an aunt. Her advice is to have lots of patience and ongoing education using various resources such as books, DVDs and workshops. She says the most important advice is to work at developing good communication with the person who has ADHD.
To give herself a break from the world of ADHD she plays clarinet in the St. Cloud Municipal Band and the SCSU Campus Band. Shelly is an avid reader, loves Facebooking, long walks, enjoying nature and spending time on genealogy. She is a new volunteer to our nonprofit and will be overseeing our new Facebook page.
