SUMMARY:LDA Minnesota Adult ADHD Support Groups
DESCRIPTION:LDA Minnesota (Learning Disabilities Association of Minnesota) provides services for adults and children who have “learning differences” and ADHD along with providing support for the families and community education.  At this time the offices are open and their programs and services are available online and in-person\, however\, the offices are open only by appointment. You may call or email them for more information or to register for their programs. \n\nLDA Minnesota offers adults who have ADHD two support group options.  There is a group that meets every Thursday morning from 10:00 am to noon in person and online via Zoom.  The evening group meets on the first and third Thursday of each month from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm online via Zoom.  Please note: The groups are free and are facilitated by trained volunteers.  If you are new and have questions or would like to join a support group meeting please call 952-582-6000 or email info@ldaminnesota.org to receive an invitation to the online meeting.  There is no registration required to attend the meetings. \nPlease Note: LDA Minnesota has moved to a new location: 5101 Olson Memorial Highway\, Suite 6000\, Golden Valley\, MN 55422. Their offices are open by appointment only at this time.

SUMMARY:PACER Center Online Streaming Workshop: Exploring Chromebook accessibility
DESCRIPTION:PACER Center began in 1977 with one program called Parents Helping Parents.  It is a nonprofit organization located in Bloomington\, MN\, and for 49 years its mission has been to educate and support parents and families who have children with disabilities. Today PACER is nationally recognized for its ongoing work and dedicated staff.  They provide a wide variety of services not only to children but to their parents\, siblings\, grandparents\, and other family members.  PACER also has educational information in Hmong\, Spanish\, and Somali.  Their current workshops are all Online Web Streaming and are free.  You must register in advance online and then you will receive directions on how to join the workshop on the day of the event. \nTheir Toll-Free number is 800-537-2237. \nPACER will explain the many accessibility features that can be found on on Chromebook such as text-to-speech\, dictation\, vision supports\, and other features that may be useful to your child.
