SUMMARY:PACER Center Online Streaming Workshop: Thriving Together: Family stories of resilience
DESCRIPTION:PACER Center began in 1977 with one program called Parents Helping Parents.  It is a nonprofit organization located in Bloomington\, MN\, and for 49 years its mission has been to educate and support parents and families who have children with disabilities. Today PACER is nationally recognized for its ongoing work and dedicated staff.  They provide a wide variety of services not only to children but to their parents\, siblings\, grandparents\, and other family members.  PACER also has educational information in Hmong\, Spanish\, and Somali.  Their current workshops are all Online Web Streaming and are free.  You must register in advance online and then you will receive directions on how to join the workshop on the day of the event. \nTheir Toll-Free number is 800-537-2237. \nThriving Together is a family guide to getting through disability services. It is a series of workshops that allows parents and professionals to come together and learn from one another. Families in this workshop will hear a parent panel discuss the daily challenges they face raising kids who have disabilities.
