CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) was established in 1987 as a way for parents and their children to not feel so isolated in dealing with their ADHD. Today it is a respected national and international ADHD organization that provides many forms of ADHD education and support which is available to all who live with ADHD, their families and friends, employers, and professionals in health care, mental health care, and education. Free webinars are one of the many educational resources you can sign up for. All registration is done online and if you can’t attend at the scheduled time, register anyway and the replay will be sent to you a few hours later where you can view it at your convenience.
The speaker for this presentation is Sarah Cheyette, MD who treats people who have ADHD with medication and non-medication treatments. Dr. Cheyette will explain the benefits and limitations of ADHD meds, and cover the behavioral strategies those with ADHD must use to successfully live with it. She is the author of ADHD and The Focused Mind.
