The speaker for this webinar will be Gena VanderMeulen, MA, Ed., who is an academic ADHD coach at the ADHD Center of West Michigan. She is a Certified Professional Academic Coach and ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) as well as having advanced credentials in executive function, study strategies, and applied neuroscience. Ms. VanderMeulen works with middle school, high school, and college students. She will explain why emotions can block a student’s ability to use their executive functions, why planners may not be the best support tool, explain strategies and tools that students can use to understand their emotions and their readiness to learn, and how parents and teachers can support students who often deal with emotional dysregulation.
