In the past, we have covered ADHD coaches and stressed their value as part of your ADHD toolbox. And the specialization goes beyond coaching, such as Certified ADHD Organizers like the National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals (NAPO) and Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD), as mentioned in the July 2025 issue of our Positive Steps Newsletter. Additionally, you can also find ADHD coaches who specialize in helping lawyers who have ADHD. One such organization in Minnesota is called JDHD.

According to their about us’ section of their website, JDHD is a “Podcast, website, and community for lawyers with ADHD.” It offers a wide range of resources that enable lawyers to more easily navigate the challenges of their careers when they have ADHD. This includes Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit, ready advice from attorneys, and enhancing awareness and correcting misinformation regarding ADHD in the legal field.

JDHD was founded in 2019 by Marshall Lichty in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Lichty is a lawyer, speaker, author/writer, podcaster, and ADHD coach for lawyers, according to his own website. His podcast (called “JDHD: A Podcast for Lawyers”) is featured on many streaming platforms, including Audible, Amazon, Spotify, and Apple Music. His body of work listed on his site includes not only podcasts but also YouTube videos and articles, as well as co-authoring a 2019 book titled “The Small Firm Roadmap: A Survival Guide to the Future of Your Law Practice.” Lichty also does ADHD coaching and small-business consulting, specializing in lawyers with ADHD, but not coaching them exclusively.

Here is a brief overview of what is included on the JDHD website:

If you are a lawyer practicing in Minnesota and you have ADHD, then JDHD might be a community where you can find helpful information and support.
