Groves Learning Organization (GLO) is a nonprofit educational organization where students who have different learning difficulties and attention disorders can go to school to learn and thrive. Groves Academy, located in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, is the leading school in the Midwest where they teach students who have dyslexia, ADHD, executive function difficulties, and other language-based learning disabilities in grades 1-12. They offer webinars and in-person events for the community and families through their GLO Education Series. Registration is done online and the events are free.
This is an in-person event. The speaker will be Dr. Liz Adams from Minnesota Neuropsychology. Dr. Adams will discuss the myths on dyslexia and explain what the current brain science really shows when it comes to reading differences, how it shows up in kids, and what steps families can take to give their child support. Please check out the listing on their website for the full details of this event.
