PACER Center Online Streaming Workshop: IEP meetings for your child with mental health needs

PACER Center began in 1977 with one program called Parents Helping Parents.  It is a nonprofit organization located in Bloomington, MN, and for 49 years its mission has been to educate and support parents and families who have children with disabilities. Today PACER is nationally recognized for its ongoing work and dedicated staff.  They provide a wide variety of services not only to children but to their parents, siblings, grandparents, and other family members.  PACER also has educational information in Hmong, Spanish, and Somali.  Their current workshops are all Online Web Streaming and are free.  You must register in advance online and then you will receive directions on how to join the workshop on the day of the event.

Individualized Education Programs (IEP) can be confusing. IEP team meetings can be confusing, frustrating, sometimes don’t go well. This workshop will explain the steps you can take to have a positive and productive IEP team meeting. You will learn about positive support and interventions that you can get and lastly how to handle disagreements.
