Support A-D-A-M Today

Attention Deficit Awareness of Minnesota, Inc. (A-D-A-Msm) is a 501(c)(3) organization based in Central Minnesota, providing resources and creating respectful links between individuals, organizations and professionals around attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD.

As a nonprofit, we serve the communities in a 7-county area in Central Minnesota, including Benton, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd and Wright counties.

Our organization does not provide medical treatment or services, instead providing links to resources, as well as direct encouragement and workshops to help those living with ADHD as well as their siblings, family members, health care providers, friends and coworkers manage their daily life and thrive. In fact, health care providers do come to our site for information when treating and advising on the disorder.

Individuals with ADHD often have dual disorders, meaning the ADHD is paired with asthma, diabetes, seizures, hearing or speech impairments, depression, bipolar disorder, learning disabilities and others. This makes ADHD even more of a challenge, requiring greater education and perseverance to manage.

ADHD requires life-long learning about the disorder and it’s related issues. With the huge and growing amount of information out there about ADHD, our website and mailings provide a valuable resource for individuals, families and even physicians who don’t have the time or resources to find this information on their own.

ADHD affects every aspect of life, from social skills to educational achievement, success at work to enjoyment of entertainment and family time. The disorder has no cure, however, it can be managed. If managed successfully, individuals can lead a life just anyone else.

We currently receive funding through grants, fundraising, gifts and donations. We use this funding to search for and provide high-quality, free resources on our website – www.adaminc.org – through emails as well as regular physical newsletter mailings.
