About our organization

The Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota was founded in 1954 by a group of dedicated doctors and social workers to address concerns about challenges facing people with seizures. Today, EFMN offers services across Minnesota and eastern North Dakota to those facing the challenges of epilepsy. EFMN also serves the broader community by fostering a better understanding of epilepsy, promoting basic seizure training, and raising awareness of how common it is to experience a seizure. An estimated 60,000 people in our region have epilepsy and our vision is that each of them will reach their full potential. EFMN is an affiliate of the national Epilepsy Foundation.
