May We Introduce You To: Wes Crenshaw, Ph.D., ABPP, CST

by Lee Gehrls R&D Coordinator (Volunteer)

As we start the New Year our nonprofit continues to strive to offer you new resources as you travel on your lifelong learning about ADHD. This month I would like to introduce you to Wes Crenshaw, Ph.D., ABPP, CST, who is a licensed psychologist and a frequent contributor to ADDitude Magazine.

Wes Crenshaw, Ph.D., ABPP, CST

Dr. Crenshaw is board-certified in Couples and Family Psychology, a certified sex therapist, a member of the ADDitude ADHD Medical Review Panel, and the author of several books. For 34+ years, he has run a private practice in the greater Kansas City metro area. While Dr. Crenshaw treats clients for a variety of mental health issues, he’s best known in ADDitude Magazine for his work with teens and young adults who have ADHD, and their families.

Dr. Crenshaw’s Articles

If you go to the ADDitude listing of Dr. Crenshaw’s 30 authored/co-authored articles, you will find a wide variety of topics that are all questions or discussions that parents have had or will have with their teen or young adult who is living with ADHD. For example here is a brief listing of the ADDitude articles he has written:

There are articles on ADHD medication, vaping, screen time, social media, sleep problems, gap years, and more.

Dr. Crenshaw presents information and ideas straightforwardly and thoughtfully – more like you are having a conversation to come up with solutions. His many articles can be helpful when you need answers and ideas but don’t have the time to sit and read a whole book.

I want to encourage you to take a little time to take a look at Dr. Crenshaw’s articles and see if they may be an addition to your ADHD library and resources.
