CHADD Webinar Ask the Expert: Using Cultural Humility to Engage Black Families About ADHD

February 4 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

- Free

CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) was established in 1987 as a way for parents and their children to not feel so isolated in dealing with their ADHD.  Today it is a respected national and international ADHD organization that provides many forms of ADHD education and support which is available to all who live with ADHD, their families and friends, employers, and professionals in health care, mental health care, and education.

Free webinars are one of the many educational resources you can sign up for.  All registration is done online.

The speaker for this presentation will be Joy Banks, PhD who is an associate professor of special education and disability research at George Mason University. Dr. Banks will show teachers and school administrators how they can build positive and productive partnerships with families of Black children who have ADHD. She will use real-life situations to show the participants how to accomplish a working relationship for the family and the student.
