PACER Center began in 1977 with one program called Parents Helping Parents.  It is a nonprofit organization located in Bloomington, MN, and for 49 years its mission has been to educate and support parents and families who have children with disabilities. Today PACER is nationally recognized for its ongoing work and dedicated staff.  They provide a wide variety of services not only to children but to their parents, siblings, grandparents, and other family members.  PACER also has educational information in Hmong, Spanish, and Somali.  Their current workshops are all Online Web Streaming and are free.  You must register in advance online and then you will receive directions on how to join the workshop on the day of the event.

Students who have mental health challenges may have trouble regulating their emotions from time to time or using their problem-solving skills in stressful times. In this workshop participants will learn how to develop a proactive crisis plan with their child that can provide support and information to help decrease the severity of the situation.
